Every article here answers one question for the people building fintech in Pakistan, and every number links back to where it came from. This post explains how we get there.
Primary sources first
We start with the people who publish the data: the State Bank of Pakistan, PVARA, SECP and company press releases. Reputable coverage comes second, and only for what the primary source doesn't say.
If we can't trace a figure to a source, we leave it out and say so.
Short on purpose
Most of what you need from an article fits in a few minutes. The most important fact goes in the first two sentences, and section headings are written the way people search, like how Raast works.
If a number has no source, it doesn't run.
Updated when the facts change
Pakistan's rules and numbers move quickly. When the facts in an article change, we correct it and show the date it was updated. The address stays the same, so anything you've shared keeps working.
